The bride is followed by bridesmaids and flower girls go near the groom and then the father of the bride hands over her to his to be groom. The whole picture is visualized a thousand times by a girl from her childhood.

Then the minster starts the rituals and bounds the couple to be with each other in diseases an in happiness, for better and for worse. Then with the pronouncing of "I do" and exchanging of the rings the couple is declared as man and wife. What a beautiful and life changing moment it is!

Some Christian weddings include a ritual of jumping over a broom by the bride and the groom, which denotes that they will cross all the evils in life successfully. Again some Christian weddings like the Jewish one have the ritual of breaking a wine glass which also means to eradicate all the forthcoming evils. A wedding reception is followed by the main ceremony, and then follows the feast. Favors, dancing, music and of course cake- cutting ceremonies are also included in Christian weddings.
