What volunteer means?

I would like to start with meanings the concept of man: This is the nature of man. He can not live a life by isolation and he is a gregarious animal; therefor, he always desires to company with other. It means man is a social animal, then they become a community of interests sharing each others weal and woe.
Man is a social animal; therefor, he is quarrel some and selfish by nature. It is; therefore, necessary that there should be somebody to play a part of a good citizen. Who is a good citizen.
Actually I means 'What are the qualities of a good citizen?' I think this question has many answer; however, I would like to introduce concept of volunteer. In my opinion the fundamental quality of a good citizen is volunteer, for volunteer is the mixture many kinds of qualities of good citizen. Volunteer means 'to do something for other people indeed without expecting to receive anything such as gift, or money.
According to the previous paragraph, there are take many kind of quality of good citizen that are mixed in 'volunteer' word, for the person who can be volunteer must have strong moral sensitivity.
He must be able to understand for other who need help and he should be clever enough to solve problems; therefor, strong moral sensitivity (strong commonsense) can be means intelligence.
Intelligence in one of base of the qualities of a good citizen, according to Lord Bryce, will make a good citizen. On the top of this, the person who can be a volunteer must have less selfishness or less private self-interest because much selfishness absolutely can not be volunteer. Selfishness is a great hindrance to good citizen.
Now, can you see how volunteer is the mixture of many kind of virtues.
Therefor volunteer can mean the quality of good citizen and also without benefit
