How do you hit pictures in NBA2K21?

Stick when grab and shoot or post fade. Button from MT 2K21 anyplace in close. Works for me but it required a bit of practice. Is not it harder to select your layup in case you use button? I've always fought with these controls and used stick for layups. I swear I feel like I've wasted $149 (Aussie dollars). I would LOVE to be shooting at 40% but I am blessed if I could hit 20%. I just play offline. I understand we've scrub players at this time, and I am a below average player but badly even layups which are in the middle of the meter aren't moving in. I don't even dare to try a jump shooter. The AI appears to be ridiculous levels as well. I understand they wish to reward skill in 2k21 but this type of material will truly put off casual players and those new the 2K franchise and new to basketball matches.

I've been playing since 2K13 but I have never been that good of a player. I would say I'm average, but I know I should not be missing all these 3s. My starter players've never played this bad in 2k16,17,18,19 and 20. The only other 2K I played 2K20 was 2K13 and that has been on PC. However, this is a completely different level using a completely different mechanic. I did fine at the demonstration and in the quickgames using the new shooting meter but can not hit the side of a barn .

Only played the demo, however, the stick was a great deal more reliable than button to get me. I've always been a button man also. . . Genuinely shooting 2/16 in an offline triple hazard game on only layups and 1 open jumpshot which airballed on marginally early. Spent $100 with this bull lmao. Man the shooting is extra fine right now but I would advise shot time like look for the que about the cartoon.

Yep I'm having trouble with it also. Launched a game on My group heading 0/12 overlooking open 3s and midrange shots all over the place. I am all for them toning down shots being nearly automatic but the system seems just a tiny bit too unforgiving so far. Hopefully will start to Cheap NBA 2K MT get better after a couple more games of getting used to it. The game just came out and we gotta new meter with slightly different time.
