Since then, my interest in the sport grew slowly. I can remember Diana Taurasi being featured on the front cover of NBA 2K22 MT Sports Illustrated alongside Emeka Okafor after their UConn Huskies won the national championships in both men's as well as women's basketball in 2004. I then became an avid Sacramento Monarchs fan and watched them play in the 2006 WNBA Finals against the Detroit Shock. Since watching Parker take part in the 2007 national championship , which was won by the Tennessee Lady Volunteers, I've been fascinated by basketball for women. I began covering the WNBA in 2012.
