It's exactly. It's so easy to feel like you are getting the Frenzied Feltalon, even though it's a simple Recoloring of WOW Classic TBC Gold two mountings. The simple difference in color isn't enough to compensate for the massive distinction in difficulty. There are so many recolors on certain mounts, they seem to blend and you don't care if its the insanely difficult or freebie because the two are in close proximity, the worth of the crazy mount actually drops, because the freebie mount's value isn't going to increase, even though it looks like a rare mount.
It depends on what you mean by "reskin". It depends on what you want to convey by "reskin".
They are all recolours accessible via different methods. Then there are all the drake mounts from WotLK and Cata which are just recolours of rare spawn drops/reputation/achievement rewards.
Then there are the other raid mounts which I didn't mention, such as Glacial Tidestorm from mythic Jaina that is a reskin of buy WOW TBC Gold the shaman class mount, or Ny'alotha Allseer from mythical N'Zoth that's another reskinned jellyfish mount.
