Monster kid, Susie and Kris are trying to not be so hard to Mary. They act like they didn’t see her glare at them.
Then Monster kid tells Susie about her opinion.
“I think she was staring at you, Susie”
MK. said
“That’s not very surprising. She is studying in the same class with me. And it normal for anyone to peeking at me like that but too coward to look straight at me.”
Susie’s eyes are hidden under her messy hair. No one can tell what she feels.
More students come to the canteen. Those kids point at Mary. Then, scream and go to talk to her. Mary is surrounded by her fan club now.
“So you’re already recovered from flu? It’s nice to see you again Mary.” Someone in that group said.
“She seems popular more than I thought.” Monster kid whispered.
I smiled…Marysue is Mary Sue. How she can’t be popular?
“Why are you surprised? She plays guitar in school band. Don’t you like her too? Like those nerds?”
Susie said and looks at Mary and Mary’s fan club. Susie is Susie, so she doesn’t feel jealous or anything because of being popular is not her thing, so she just looks at Mary and the fan club for a while with no more opinion before back to eating sandwich.
“I’m not Mary’s big fan. I’m rather crazy with the singer.” Monster kid answered.
The noise from Mary fan club is become louder and louder. That is very annoying for Susie.
“Nah, It’s too crowded now, I got to go.”
Then she picks up her sandwich and left.
After that for a while, the sound of bell ringing is start. And Mary’s fans are leave from greeting her and it is a chance for Mary to walk to me and give me a note before walk away.
I read the paper. It’s said “I will be waiting for you under the big tree behind the school.”
I take a while to find that tree…It’s not the only tree behind the school.
Mary was opening a plastic box that she dug from the hole under the tree when I am arrived.
It’s obviously a Mary’s middle school time machine box. There are Mary’s memory stuffs around here.
I’m looking at an old paper on the ground. There are the words of “to do list” written down on it which was also said. “Tell Susie that thing.”
“Thank you for coming, Kris” Mary seems really glad to see me.
“…”
Mary glares at me. “Um…I understand that you’re not very talkative. That is good, you will never judge anyone if you don’t talk...Well, I want to ask you for help.”
She smiled gently…even she doesn’t have mouth.
“I saw you are often hangout with Susie. You seem close to each other…I just want to talk to her. Would you mind to help me?”
“…”
“Thank you Kris, You’re so kind!”
But when we are arrived to locker room to meets Susie. Mary starts to feel nervous. She looks at Susie. Her sweat drew on her cheek.
“Kris, I’ve changed my mind.”
So I grab her hand and pull…
“Ahh! No! Please Stop!”
Mary escapes and run away to hide.
I go after her. She really needs my help.
