Still sort of am excited RS gold

I had been and still sort of am excited RS gold about the notion of such a fundamental aspect of the runescape game being updated as that is the type of change I truly believe RuneScape needs for long-term longevity and was mostly ignored (with the exception of bank rework, which was amazing and I very much value ), but that seems like a half measure which may not be well worth the trouble and could backfire when people learn that it isn't likely to help PvM in any way. I suspect that is what the majority people were actually hoping for and obtained so hyped about if we saw the preview at Runefest, and I wonder if you are not setting yourselves up for another wave of community disappointment and backlash by not being more explicit about this component of the changes.

Please think about either delaying these adjustments until they can be reached in a means that will benefit PvM, or saying what you have said here explicitly in a manner that more of this neighborhood will see so that there will not be a good deal of disappointment and outrage and crab emojis when it gets released and falls short of peoples' expectations and hopes. I am not trying to be a downer; I know there is enough negativity around this community already. However, I really do think you could be making a community relations error here and strongly encourage you to think about the way you're implementing and advertising that this change and whether it may backfire if you stay with the present strategy.

Please for the love of god think them when they say that they do not know if these features will even be possible. They need to spend time investigating and designing and planning and trying to foresee and test issues about these highly experimental features and at the worst (but really very possible) case it'll lead to the response that no it is not possible (or not possible more inclined as they would need to do something like rewrite the runescape game from the ground up and freeze all new features for years). When folks get hyped about that and Jagex sees that as a license to perform this highly experimental work runescape players need to appreciate this could mean less resources put on more dependable updates (something runescape players are already whining about) and a threat it simply won't work.

Personally I am all in for this trade-off but I could only see reddit complaining in 6 weeks or following RuneFest or whatever and faster-ticks getting the new bank-rework meme.As someone who quit playing RS but still plays OSRS as well as other hot MMOs I can't stress enough how important the faster tick rate is for your game. The responsiveness of your sport as well as the UI are the greatest reasons I refuse to play it with actions pub style combat. There's no additional"better" update. Responsive gameplay makes good games people are willing to spend cash on.

Given that the tick shift is a huge project at the scope of the full game, has got the idea appear to alter it for parts of the runescape game in isolation that would benefit from it the most, such as combat? I am convinced that's also quite an endeavour to implement, but it would enable gradual rollout and an easier time testing server stress. Every region of the runescape game broken by altering the tick could theoretically be looked at one at a time rather than all at once, together with diminishing returns on which actions benefit in the responsiveness. Obviously it is still a big job even then given that encouraging just combat to begin would also probably require encouraging motion and any other heavily-tied systems if a good alternative for best way to make money runescape making this incremental is found.
