Pulisic's first goal of the new season came in somewhat chaotic fashion. Among Thomas Tuchel's options for the left wing berth that the 22 year old favors are Kai Havertz, Werner and Mount; the Chelsea squad is stacked with attacking talent and anything less than a very good performance will have players fighting for their place in the next match.
Pulisic certainly knows that the challenge is on to ensure he features regularly in Tuchel's plans. Speaking exclusively to CBS Sports earlier this week he said of his plans for the 2021-22 season: "I'm just looking to continue to grow as a player, obviously help the team in every way that I can and be a consistent starter, consistently playing. I want to make a big impact this year, in whatever way I can to help this team win."
