Tools For Planting Flowers

During a naturopathic consultation a naturopathic doctor may choose from a variety of natural remedies. These will be dependent on the individual client and may vary between individuals even although they may present with similar symptoms.

Some of the most common remedies are listed here, along with the most effective way to take them.

Flower Essences:

Take 4 drops under the tongue at least 4 times daily or more frequently when necessary. First thing in the morning & last thing in the evening are the best times for taking flower remedies. For best effects take at least 1/2 hr. before or after food, tea, coffee, alcohol, any other stimulant or cleaning of the teeth. Place the drops directly under the tongue & hold for 30 seconds before swallowing. Store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, electrical appliances, perfumes or other strong smells.

Herbs:

Mix the prescribed measure of herbal tincture with a small measure of water or fruit juice (20mls). Unless otherwise recommended, herbs are best taken 10-15 mins before meals. More water or juice may be taken afterwards, if necessary, as a chaser.

Nutritional Supplements:

Most supplements are best taken with food, however, in some cases you may be instructed to take them on an empty stomach.

Homeopathics:

Always rinse your mouth with water before taking the remedy. Do not touch the homoeopathics directly with your hands. The remedy should be taken at least 1/2 hr. before or after food, tea, coffee, alcohol, any other stimulant or cleaning of the teeth. Place the drops or pills directly under the tongue & hold for 30 seconds before swallowing. Store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, electrical appliances, perfumes or other strong smells.
