The vocalist HYDE and guitarist K.A.Z. stirred up the rock world by creating VAMPS. The duo has combined their talent before as well with rather successful outcomes, leading the audience to expect nothing less from this project. Currently, since nothing is released, their sound is unknown. Though that wait won't be too long since their first single, Love Addict, comes out on July 2nd.

L'Arc~en~Ciel's vocalist HYDE and Oblivion Dust's guitarist K.A.Z. have worked together ever since 2003; K.A.Z. has, for example, been involved in writing and producing HYDE's third solo album FAITH. In the start of 2008 the two announced their plans to share the spotlight under the new band called VAMPS.
Both members have a tendency to keep various projects going on, although L'Arc~en~Ciel let their fans know of an upcoming three-year pause right before the release of the first VAMPS single. Oblivion Dust on the other hand returned to being active at the end of 2007, after seven years of silence. The energetic guitarist isn't afraid of pressure, but is planning to calmly schedule both interesting bands in his calendar.
VAMPS made it's first step to the publicity in March 2008, although for the actual music the curious fans had to settle for a few months wait, while exploring the early released national tour schedule of 46 dates. With all the hype the debut single Love Addict has been one of the most awaited releases of the year.
