We've wrestled with "The Secret", we've conscientiously kept our gratitude journals and we have created our vision boards so what's next in the quest to improve our lives with the Law of Attraction? How about making sure that every morning you wake up in delicious anticipation of what the day might hold? How about deliberately creating that buzz of excitement you had as a child - not the overwhelming dizzy excitement of Christmas morning but more of a gentle feeling of being on the brink of a perfect unfolding?

Imagine feeling like you want to greet your day with enthusiasm... every single morning. Imagine going to work knowing that, although your day might be mapped out, you have left room for the chance encounter, the unexpected happening and the pleasure of moments of serendipity.

How can you create this wonderful state of being for yourself?

First of all you need to understand and remember that it's not about what you do in your daily life- it's how you feel while you are doing it. You can feel happy while washing the dishes or you can feel miserable. Feeling good makes the task lighter. Feeling miserable makes everything hard work and generates more misery.

Before you can move yourself into a state of delicious anticipation you need to have a dream or goal. You might call it a vision or a virtual reality. It matters not. It simply needs to be something you can move towards in tiny steps.

An example: a woman wants to leave her boring office job and open her own flower shop. She knows she has some skill with flower arranging and nothing would please her more than to have a lovely little business on a bustling street. She can see it so clearly... she can smell the heady scent of the flowers, she can taste the latte that she brings into work with her- she can hear the cheerful greetings of her customers and feel the warmth of the morning sun as it pours through the windows into her shop. Everybody loves the atmosphere she has created... but... that dream is still a long way away. She thinks she could raise the money eventually but there are many things which have to be in place before her dream can happen. So she trains herself into delicious anticipation.

In her current life she begins to incorporate many of the things she would do if she owned a florist's shop. She always makes sure she has fresh flowers at home. She always buys her morning latte, dreaming that, instead of carrying it to her office, she is taking it to drink at her own shop counter. She collects books on floristry and practices her skills. She makes small bouquets for friends and family. She takes note of likely premises which would be perfect for her. In her present job she makes small changes everyday, starting with keeping flowers on her desk and making notes about her dream when she has a spare moment. Everything she does she believes is one step closer to reaching her goal - even if what she is doing is completely unrelated. In effect, she begins to live her dream like it is already happening. Each morning she wakes up, she plans one more thing to incorporate her dream into her life.

As soon as the woman starts to deliberately create her 'dream-in-life' she notices odd little coincidences. She finds references to flowers and floristry popping up all the time. She is introduced to people who might be able to help her later on. She receives requests for her flower arranging skills at weekends- at weddings and garden parties. Relevant advertisements, articles and images flooding are into her awareness. All kinds of serendipitous events occur - almost to the point where she is beginning to expect them. Another very important aspect is that her current boring job is no longer as dull as it was. She has created a sparkle to her routine and that is reflected in her appearance, her demeanour and even in the confident way she walks.

She knows... and you would too if you knew her, that she is so close to her dream that it can't help but happen. Soon everything will fall into place and she will own that perfect little flower shop.
