Follow a character construct, but do not sweat it poe currency if you're creating your own way
Many players prefer to create their very own distinct character build the very first time they play, experimentation with different passive skills. But if you do so, bear in mind that full-character respecs are not an option in Path of Exile. You will earn a limited variety of respec points through natural development and grinding, but not so many that quickly transforming one construct to the next is a viable option.
Therefore, my advice is to follow a well-regarded build made by seasoned players. This may focus your personality growth and make certain you have an endgame viable personality when the time comes. Here are a few fast beginner-friendly build recommendations (current as of launch).
If you are making your own build, be sure you understand these characteristics of the passive skill tree: Beginning Areas: Your character begins with things in a specific place, but you might also feel free to work towards additional classes' nodes.
