Follow a character construct, but do not sweat it poe currency
if you're creating your own way
Many players prefer to create their very own distinct character build the very first time they play, experimentation with different passive skills. But if you do so, bear in mind that full-character respecs are not an option in Path of Exile. You will earn a limited variety of respec points through natural development and grinding, but not so many that quickly transforming one construct to the next is a viable option.
Therefore, my advice is to follow a well-regarded build made by seasoned players. This may focus your personality growth and make certain you have an endgame viable personality when the time comes. Here are a few fast beginner-friendly build recommendations (current as of launch).
If you are making your own build, be sure you understand these characteristics of the passive skill tree: Beginning Areas: Your character begins with things in a specific place, but you might also feel free to work towards additional classes' nodes. Paths: Much of the skill three includes avenues offering a +10 bonus to one of the 3 core stats. Try to pick up the stat you'll need as you work towards additional features on the tree. Clusters: Groups of similarly themed nodes, often with an icon in the middle of them. Clusters come in many sizes and often have a gold-colored ability that's particularly powerful and desirable. Keystones: Unique nodes that alter the balance of game mechanics to your character. Each one has an incredible buff but also a significant penalty to take into account.
