Flowers To Portland From Uk

It's that time of year again - Mother's Day is fast approaching. So it might be a good idea to start thinking about gift selection. In fact, if you're in the habit of giving flowers and chocolates year after year, you may want to surprise your dear old Mum with something a bit more original for a change.

Listed below, in no particular order, are 10 ideas for unusual gifts which your mother may enjoy:

A nice, soothing classical music album How about something nice and mellow to help your mother relax after a long day? Alternatively, if classical music isn't to her taste you can always get her something by her favourite rapper. A digital photo frame. These are great. You can set them up to run through a whole series of photos rather than just look at the same one. Your mother can easily set up a display of all her children, grandchildren and other friends and family which will give her hours of pleasure. Some of them even come with sound these days. Mood Lighting This is great for changing the character of a room and providing a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. There's a wide range of prices for these items but they start very cheap and, if you select the right one, can be set up in minutes. A boxed DVD set of your mother's favourite TV series Let her watch her favourite TV series, or movie trilogy whenever she feels like it. Even if her favourite series dates from the 60's or 70's you can probably find it as a boxed collection - do a quick search online. A watch Why not get her an extra watch? Maybe she already has a good one -so get her one to wear around the house while she's doing the housework so the good one doesn't get damaged. Or maybe you'd like to get her one which she can wear on special occasions. Lots of people have more than one watch these days - some have a whole collection. An electronic foot massager What could be more relaxing at the end of the day than a nice foot massage. You can get these with a number of different programs, some pre-set and others customisable. There's bound to be one that suits your mother. A digital camera These are amazingly easy to use these days - and you don't need to spend a fortune. A simple, low end digital camera can give hours of fun and provide many happy memories for years to come. A coffee maker Now available to make one or two cups of coffee, just the way she likes it, in only a few minutes. Ideal for when the family have grown up and left home. A pair of really comfortable slippers Okay - maybe not the most unusual gift, but what Mother's Day list would be complete without a pair of comfy, sheepskin slippers. A gift voucher If all else fails, and you really can't think of what to get your mother, then why not just give her a gift voucher for her favourite store. That way she's sure to get exactly what she wants.

Those are just a few ideas for unusual mother's day gifts - I'm sure you can think of more. Why not dare to be different this year?
