During the winter season, you can use florescent tube to supplement the natural light. This will ensure that you get wonderful and healthy orchid flowers even when there is no sunlight.

&bull- Make sure that you water your orchids in the right way because this is where most people make mistakes. Some people will put too much water before they leave the house but this does not help your flowers- it makes their roots rot. Leaving the plants without watered for weeks makes the dry up. The pot where you grow your flowers should have proper drainage which can be a hole at the bottom or some pebbles below the soil. You should water your flower at least after every five days. Caring for orchids is important especially when watering because this determines the health of the flowers. You can use a spray bottle to moisten your orchid. This will keep the leaves clean and strong.

&bull- Orchids do well in cool temperature especially at night. This allows them to maintain moist which they require to do well.

&bull- Keep thee flowers properly fertilized to enable them to grow strong. You should use soluble fertilizer that does not contain urea. Stick to the instructions given on the fertilizer package when caring for orchids to avoid side effects.

&bull- You should prune your orchids to remove the dead parts and keep your flowers in good shape. You can prune them throughout the year to make sure that they do not look over grown. Most orchids will lose their bloom during the winter but will still get a new one when the booming season comes.
