"Without the bling, my wedding won't be the same!"

Although it sounds a little silly when put that way, there is no better place to have a bit of bling than at your wedding. Don't think big gold chains, gold teeth and spinner chains -- think more of anything that shimmers, sparkles and shine. Bling, but with a little extra class.

Start with the bride. Whilst a white dress is the traditional wedding garb, the more expensive dresses come with extras -- added lace, a longer train, embroidery, crystals embedded in to it -- and now you've found the bling. It is inexpensive to add crystals to a wedding dress, but the effect is far from minimal. The sparkle from such crystals will attract the eye, and make the bride in the $50 dress look a million dollars. Any decoration applied to a plain item can be considered bling -- not just crystals, but the lace, the ribbon, anything at all that improves the appearance of the item.

The same applies to the bride's headdress or tiara - plain is just fine, but the more sparkle, the more bling, the more people will look, and all will agree that she is a fantastically well dressed bride.

And why not add a bit of glitter make-up?

The groom can obtain a similar sparkling effect by having his suit jacket or even his tie accented with a small amount of bling, and of course the perennial favourite -- blinged out cufflinks. Diamonds will do the trick, but cut glass crystals work on a budget, and from a distance who is going to be able to tell?

As well as people, items can have their own bit of wedding bling too. The bouquet can incorporate crystals or even holographic ribbon - that's sure to be a head turner.

At the reception, the tables can be decorated in such a way as to make the room glimmer. Cut glass on the table is a fine start -- for example, for vases for flowers. Foil confetti is also great, and comes in many different colours, and adding a few candles to the table will enhance the overall effect. Each time the flame flickers, the angle of the light will change, and the glittering effect will be enhanced.

A wedding without a bit of bling is still nice, but by adding some simple touches, the entire day can be transformed in to a fairy tale from start to end.
