Small Flowered Forget Me Not

Would you build a new house without a blueprint? (I actually know a guy that tried...huge disaster...) Of course you wouldn't. Yet we often stumble through life without a plan or blueprint for how we want it to take shape.

A blueprint parallels your life's goals. You are the architect. You can construct success and happiness or misery and failure. And your blueprint is the key to your results. You have to have a plan if you're going to succeed. Without it you'll end up disillusioned, frustrated and confused.

Simple fact is people with goals and plans succeed in life, while those without them fail. If you're filled with anxiety and can't understand why, go back to the fundamentals.

Every great athlete will tell you that he/she has to periodically return to the fundamentals to stay on top. Without doing that, play becomes sloppy...skills become ineffective.

So where can you go to get one of these blueprints for how to live your life? The Creator wrote us a letter and within it He spells out all the answers to how to live, love, succeed. Pull out your Bible (blow the dust off if it's been awhile...) and read Proverbs. That's one of my personal favorites. It will give you direction. And don't stop there...

From there, line up your personal goals with God's principles for you and see the transformation that will happen in your life. I'm not promising roses. I'm promising that you'll be able to appreciate the flowers. And that will make all the difference.

Now, if you're skeptical here, remember the law of gravity. You know that if you jump off a tall building, you won't fall up. You can't see, smell, or touch the law of gravity, but it's there. Same with the natural laws of happiness and success. If you operate within those laws, happiness and success will be yours for the taking.
