The space pirate-themed Destiny 2 season is all about battling the fallen House of Salvation, finding buried treasure, and working with everyone's favorite villainous vagabonds. Of course, there's a bunch of new loot to chase, and a few activities to complete. The legendary weapons return with some new kits that bring a fresh look to the Destiny 2 sandbox. Learn how to acquire and use the Malicious Touch in this guide. Players can also have plenty of Destiny 2 Silver on hand for the game.
How to Get Malice in Destiny 2's King's Fall Raid
There is only one way to obtain the Touch of Malice in Destiny 2: it drops randomly from the Antelope Treasure Chest after the final encounter of the King's Fall Raid is completed. You have 3 chances per week to get it, provided you have 3 characters that are fully capable of running Raid.
Sadly, there is no way to increase your chance of dropping it, and there is no doom protection. It all depends on your RNG. some players will get Malicious Touch on the first or second completion; others will carry dozens or more. For most casual fireteams, King's Fall takes over an hour, which can mean hundreds of hours of raiding, or just a few hours before you get Exotic to drop.
How to reach Malice
Similar to other Destiny 2 raids, Touch of Malice is a random drop at the end of the final encounter. Initially associated with a quest in the first game, Touch of Malice will now only drop from the chest you generate after killing Oryx. This is not a guaranteed drop, so don't expect everyone to catch one right away. In addition, each character can only attempt Malicious Touch once per week. This means that if you have three characters, you will have 3 attempts per week. Obviously, this isn't ideal, but most raid exotic weapons are designed to be rare, giving you a reason to use them consistently.
For those unfamiliar, the Malicious Touch in Destiny 2 is slightly different from the original. While the gun still sucks life from the user for added damage, it also recharges a destroyed blight. You can then use the weapon's alternate fire mode to unleash this blight to shroud your enemies in darkness and blind them. This will make Malicious Touch more useful than before and could make it very effective in handicap events like Patriarch Nightfall or other raids.
