Leeteuk will be acting in ‘The Promise‘, which will be sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense. The musical is based on actual historical events and figures, such as General Baek Sun Yeop and war correspondent Marguerite Higgins, and will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.

‘The Promise’ is scheduled to open On January 9 of 2013 at the National Theater of Korea.

Leeteuk’s musical role “Miss Kim” is the only son of a family that runs a host business called “Nam Won Gak” and has many many unnis who are called “Gi Saeng”* (host/entertainer/escort) in his house. Miss Kim grew up wearing female clothes and called with female name because the family didn’t want him to be exposed to the plague.
